Job Description

Zambia Sugar Plc, Zambia’s leading sugar producer and part of Illovo Sugar Africa (Pty) Ltd Group, is hiring a Continuous Improvement Specialist to join the Business Improvement Department. This position reports to the Organizational Effectiveness Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze processes and identify areas for improvement to enhance operational efficiency.

Measure performance metrics, develop KPIs, and monitor business functions to track improvement opportunities.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies like Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, or Agile.

Manage change processes by promoting employee engagement, training teams, and fostering a culture of improvement.

Facilitate data-driven decision-making using analytics and standardized reporting mechanisms.

Train employees on improvement techniques to encourage participation in process optimization efforts.

Collaborate with stakeholders, including senior management and frontline teams, to drive successful change management initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or Reliability Engineering.

3-5 years’ experience in OE/Change Management with proven success in continuous improvement projects.

Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

Verified qualifications by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA).
