Key Responsibilities:

1. Support Area Programs in capacity building for improved agricultural productivity
2. Promote Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) using World Vision approved models
3. Ensure alignment with national agriculture policies and frameworks
4. Collaborate with government departments and other stakeholders
5. Provide technical leadership in agriculture production and climate adaptation
6. Support proposal design and resource mobilization efforts
7. Facilitate training and capacity building for staff and partners

Qualifications:

– Degree in Agricultural Sciences (Crop Science) with 7+ years of experience
– Master’s degree in Agricultural Sciences is an advantage (5+ years experience)
– Strong skills in Climate Smart Agriculture and Disaster Risk Reduction
– Membership in the Agricultural Institute of Zambia
– Experience in project design, implementation, and monitoring
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

This position offers a unique blend of office-based work (40%) and field assignments (60%), with potential international travel opportunities.
