Job Description

As a Mobile Equipment Operations Training Specialist, your primary focus will be to develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for Fixed Plant and Mobile Equipment operations. You will ensure compliance, improve safety, and enhance team competencies.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct training and assessments for Fixed Plant and Mobile Equipment operations.

Verify competence for employees and contractors in equipment operation.

Train new drivers and operators on equipment safety and usage.

Maintain accurate training records and manage updates in INX.

Develop and implement training plans to address skill gaps.

Perform training needs analyses and design courses to meet operational requirements.

Enforce company safety standards to minimize accidents and boost productivity.

Communicate effectively with clients regarding training needs and progress.

Regularly evaluate and refine training materials.

Assist supervisors with additional tasks to optimize department operations.

Qualifications and Skills

Grade 12 Certificate.

Accreditation as a Trainer, Assessor, and Examiner (TEVETA).

Certification in handling various equipment, including Overhead Cranes, Forklifts, and Articulated Dump Trucks.

Proficiency in teaching methodologies and MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Valid Driver’s License.

Strong facilitation, presentation, and coaching skills (advantageous).

Experience

At least 5 years of experience in Mobile Equipment Operations within the Resources Industry.

5+ years of training and assessing experience in the same field.
