The Logistics Officer will serve as the primary administrative and logistics support contact for the Production Department, playing a crucial role in our Solwezi operations.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Management
– Generate and analyze manning reports for each shift
– Process essential documentation including leave applications and sick notes
– Manage Workday data entry and exceptions
– Coordinate with HR for timely payroll processing
– Maintain comprehensive records of departmental supplies and PPE

Personnel Coordination
– Facilitate training initiatives with the training department
– Support HR in maintaining disciplinary procedures
– Conduct new employee inductions
– Monitor and manage employee attendance
– Provide guidance on manpower allocation
– Maintain positive industrial relations

Qualifications and Requirements

Education
– Grade 12 Certificate
– Diploma or Degree in Business Administration or equivalent qualification

Experience and Skills
– Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in similar role
– Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
– Strong organizational and communication abilities
– Demonstrated attention to detail
– Experience in mining operations preferred

Operational Requirements
– Availability for standby work
– Ability to work overtime when needed
– Adaptability to mining environment conditions
– Understanding of local cultural and political dynamics
– Knowledge of relevant legislation and procedures
