Job Overview

As a Supervisor, Component Rebuild & Machine Shop, you will oversee workshop operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and top-quality standards. You’ll lead a skilled team, manage equipment, and contribute to the success of our mining engineering operations in Zambia.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain a safe working environment for all staff.

Ensure workshop equipment is well-maintained and available.

Manage teams for various tasks within the workshop.

Guide and mentor staff to enhance skills and knowledge.

Plan workshop jobs with section planners.

Assist machinists and fitters with timely task completion.

Develop Safe Operating Procedures and Bills of Materials.

Prepare technical reports and lead meetings.

Ensure compliance with Zambian Mining Regulations.

Key Competencies

Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Ability to work in a challenging environment with exposure to dust, heat, and noise.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PRONTO.

Qualifications

Grade 12 Certificate.

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Membership with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).

Valid driver’s license and First Aid certificate.
