Job Summary

Bayer Zambia Ltd is looking for a Product Quality Operations Lead to oversee seed quality management and ensure compliance with agriculture regulations in Zambia. The successful candidate will manage product specifications, quality control, seed batch release, and regulatory compliance to guarantee high-quality seed production.

Key Responsibilities

Manage product quality assurance for seed production, including inspection plans, seed batch release, and compliance with ISTA and OECD regulations.

Develop product quality strategies aligned with business growth and customer needs.

Collaborate with breeding, production research, and supply chain teams to enhance seed quality.

Implement corrective actions and continuous improvement programs for product reliability.

Lead customer complaint investigations to ensure prompt resolution and maintain customer satisfaction.

Oversee seed certification processes in coordination with regulatory bodies like SCCI.

Ensure adherence to FEFO (First Expired, First Out) principles for inventory management.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Seed Technology, or related fields.

7+ years of experience in seed production, quality management, or manufacturing.

Strong knowledge of seed regulations, ISTA rules, and OECD seed schemes.

Experience in quality management systems and audits.

Proficiency in ERP and inventory management.

Excellent data analytics, reporting, and communication skills.

Ability to work cross-functionally and lead teams effectively.
