Job Overview

Lumwana Mining Company, part of Barrick, is hiring a skilled Machinist to join our Maintenance Team. We are looking for a motivated professional to perform line boring operations, machine component parts, and ensure safety and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Interpret engineering drawings and operate portable line boring machines.

Detect, repair, and heat-treat cracks in equipment.

Machine parts to suit specific requirements and perform critical measurements.

Diagnose faults in equipment through observation and maintain high-quality standards.

Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA) before starting tasks.

Identify hazards and maintain a safe working environment.

Adhere to company safety policies, including the use of PPE and risk assessments.

Maintain a clean and organized work area during and after tasks.

Qualifications and Requirements

Grade 12 Certificate.

Craft Certificate in Machining from a recognized institution.

Minimum 3 years of work experience as a Machinist in mining, engineering, or related industries.

Membership with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).

Strong attention to detail and fault diagnosis skills.

Valid Driver’s License.
