Job Overview:

Lumwana Mining Company is seeking a Lead Construction Specialist to oversee the construction of Tailing and Waste Storage Facilities. This fixed-term role requires a skilled leader to ensure construction projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement construction plans, schedules, and budgets for Tailing and Waste Storage Facilities (TSF/WSF).

Supervise and coordinate construction teams and subcontractors.

Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and regulatory obligations.

Identify and mitigate risks for successful project execution.

Collaborate with stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, and regulatory bodies.

Monitor budgets, control costs, and minimize overruns.

Foster a safety-first culture and conduct regular safety audits.

Prepare and submit detailed project reports.

Qualifications and Experience:

Full Grade 12 School Certificate.

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering or a related field.

Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Construction Management, preferably in large-scale mining projects.

Member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).

Proficiency in construction management tools (Primavera, MS Project, etc.).

Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Valid driver’s license and familiarity with safe working practices.
