Job Opportunity: Auto Electrical Trainer

Barrick Lumwana Mining Company is hiring an Auto Electrical Trainer to join the Human Resources Training Team. This role requires an experienced professional to design and deliver auto electrical training programs for technicians, apprentices, and in-service personnel at the mine.

Key Responsibilities

Train auto electricians on electrical systems, components, circuits, wiring diagrams, and repair techniques for mining vehicles and heavy equipment.

Provide hands-on training on diagnostic tools and troubleshooting electrical faults in mobile mining equipment.

Conduct safety training on electrical hazard identification, risk assessment, and safe work practices.

Maintain training records and ensure compliance with TEVETA training standards.

Update training materials to align with new technologies and industry best practices.

Collaborate with the Maintenance, Operations, and Safety departments to enhance technical skills among mine auto electricians.

Qualifications and Experience Required

Grade 12 Certificate (Full School Certificate).

Diploma in Auto Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Teaching Methodology Diploma, accredited with TEVETA as a Trainer, Assessor, and Examiner.

SAQA/Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment is an added advantage.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Auto Electrician Trainer or Senior Auto Electrician in a mining or heavy equipment environment.

Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ & ERB) Membership.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
