Barrick Lumwana Mining Company is seeking a skilled and motivated Power Electrical Trainer to join our dynamic Human Resources team. Key Responsibilities

Design & Develop Training Programs: Create comprehensive training modules for high voltage electrical systems used in mining operations.

Deliver Safety & Compliance Training: Conduct safety sessions on hazard identification, risk assessment, lockout/tagout procedures, and proper PPE usage for high voltage environments.

Hands-On Demonstrations: Provide practical training on high voltage equipment operation, testing procedures, insulation testing, and troubleshooting techniques.

Maintain and Monitor Equipment: Oversee the maintenance and restocking of electrical equipment and consumables in the workshop.

Compliance & Record Keeping: Ensure training programs meet regulatory standards and document training activities using the DAMSTRA system.

Collaboration: Work closely with Maintenance Coordinators and other departments to align training initiatives with company policies and operational goals.

Qualifications and Requirements

Educational Background:

Full Grade 12 (School Certificate)

Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

Training Accreditation:

Diploma in Teaching Methodology accredited by TEVETA as a Trainer, Assessor, and Examiner

SAQA / Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (or equivalent) is an advantage

Professional Experience:

Minimum of 5 years’ relevant working experience in electrical maintenance or training

Membership with The Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ & ERB)

Technical Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
