Job Overview

Bayer Zambia Ltd is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Specialist to support demand planning, inventory management, and import/export operations across Southern Africa. This role ensures seamless delivery of Crop Protection, Glyphosate, Acetochlor, and Row Crop products to meet sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

Supply Chain Operations:

Collaborate with the Country Supply Planner to execute demand plans and meet sales objectives.

Ensure timely stock replenishment across distribution centers (DCs) and direct shipment channels.

Coordinate with Site Logistics to ensure a secured supply chain for Crop Protection and Row Crop portfolios.

Manage intercompany purchases, stock transfers, and local inventory, focusing on slow-movers and stock optimization.

Provide input for Sales & Operational Execution (S&OE) meetings to enhance data-driven decision-making.

Oversee complaint management and raise insurance claims for damaged or lost consignments.

Import & Export Operations:

Process export permits and ensure compliance with Zambia’s customs regulations.

Coordinate air and ocean freight, tracking goods from dispatch to delivery.

Liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure timely processing of export permits and certificates of origin (COOs).

Handle import documents for smooth clearance and delivery to DCs, ensuring adherence to SOPs.

Generate monthly reports on freight costs, import permits, and customs compliance.

Qualifications & Requirements

Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or Logistics.

Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Distribution, and Warehousing.

Proficiency in SAP and other supply chain software.

Experience in agricultural chemicals or seed handling is advantageous.

Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Fluency in English and local languages.
