Lumwana Mining Company (LMC), part of Barrick, is hiring a Mechanical Engineer – FS on a fixed-term contract to join its Expansion Project Team in Kalumbila. Key Responsibilities:

Support the Lead Mechanical Engineer in managing maintenance projects to enhance operational performance.

Mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and industry standards.

Maintain an updated document management system for equipment manuals and drawings.

Develop and implement safe work procedures and uphold the Occupational Health & Safety Policy.

Build relationships with stakeholders and support community engagement initiatives.

Manage budgets and develop objectives for shared infrastructure across Barrick.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Education: Grade 12 Certificate and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Membership: Must be a member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ).

Experience: Proven experience in the mining industry with a focus on project execution.

Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook). Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
