About the Role

Copperbelt Energy Corporation (CEC) is seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our dynamic team in Kitwe. This critical role focuses on maintaining and optimizing electrical metering infrastructure across our power distribution network.

Key Responsibilities

– Precision calibration of energy meters and test instruments
– High and low voltage equipment maintenance
– Metering system installations and commissioning
– Condition-based maintenance of electrical systems
– Prepayment metering platform support
– Load control circuit repairs
– Accurate measurement reporting

Qualifications Required

Essential Criteria
– Technician Certificate in:
– Electrical Engineering
– Electronics
– Instrumentation
– Membership with Electrical Institute of Zambia (EIZ)
– Minimum 3 years post-qualification work experience
– Proficient in Microsoft Excel
– Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings

Technical Skills
– Meter calibration expertise
– High voltage equipment maintenance
– Electrical system diagnostics
– Power infrastructure troubleshooting
