Lumwana Mining Company is hiring a Quantity Surveyor (Fixed Term) for the Mineral Resource Management – FS Section. This role is perfect for an experienced professional ready to contribute to a globally recognized mining leader.

Key Responsibilities

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will:

Estimate material and labor costs, project timelines, and budgets.

Prepare payment schedules for labor and suppliers.

Monitor construction progress, ensuring cost control and adherence to contracts like NEC and JCT.

Manage contract administration, risk analysis, and payment disputes.

Create detailed reports on costs, budgets, and project progress.

Oversee subcontractor accounts and tendering processes.

Identify project risks and ensure stakeholder alignment on contractual obligations.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.

Member of EIZ, GSZ, or an equivalent professional body.

3-5 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in construction or mining.

Proficiency in cost estimation, contract administration, and project management software.

Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Experience with NEC and JCT contracts is an advantage.
