First Quantum Minerals Careers (FQM Careers) is actively seeking an experienced ADT Operator for our operations in Kalumbila. This role focuses on supporting the Dewatering section through effective handling, construction, and maintenance of dewatering systems. Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Operation: Conduct pre-start and post-inspections of the service truck (converted ADT) to ensure safe operation.

Maintenance & Reporting: Maintain high housekeeping standards for the truck, report any mechanical defects, and ensure efficient operation practices.

Material Transport: Safely transport materials to assigned destinations following supervisor instructions, ensuring accurate spotting and secure loading.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety procedures, report unsafe conditions, and execute work instructions in an orderly manner.

Additional Duties: Perform tasks as assigned by the supervisor to support the Dewatering team’s daily goals.

Competencies and Skills:

Communication: Excellent communication skills and ability to operate a two-way radio.

Equipment Knowledge: Proficiency in operating articulated trucks and knowledge of pre-start checks, defect identification, and emergency procedures.

Problem Solving: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Key Attributes:

Flexibility: Ability to work different shifts as assigned and demonstrate personal accountability.

Time Management: Effectively manage time, stay self-driven, and show active listening skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in mining or heavy machinery operations, especially with wheel dozers.

Full Grade 12 School Certificate.

Valid driver’s license with at least 2 years of driving experience.
